History

  • Legley composed this sonata from September till November 1954[1] in Wégimont and Woluwe.
  • The earliest performance that could be traced, took place on 14 January 1957 in the concert hall of the conservatory in Ghent and was played by the Trio Altmann-Lardinois-Louël.[2]
