Opus 103
History
- Legley chose two famous poems by Alice Nahon, Schaduw and Avondliedeken, for this opus.
- Legley completed the songs at the end of August 1984. He considered the second song as the successor to his youth composition on the same text from 1933.
- The songs were first performed by Ria Bollen and Jozef De Beenhouwer during a recording for the Belgian radio channel BRT 3 in 1985 or 1986, in a version for alto and piano.[2]
