History
- Composed in Koksijde during the months April and May 1969.
- Legley intended to write an amusing ballet, for which this prelude would serve as an overture.[1]
- First performance on 18 September 1969 by the symphony orchestra of Liège conducted by François Huybrechts during the Festival van Vlaanderen.[2]
