History
- Until now, no composition bearing opus number 31 is known. The ballade for soprano solo and mixed choir was declared at NAVEA on the same day as the orchestral work the golden river (opus 30). It is therefore possible that the ballad is opus 31, but De eeuw der harmonie, dating from the same period, can also be considered. The surviving scores are inconclusive.
