Version 1
- Legley completed the first version of this concerto in 1952.[1]
- In all likelihood, this version has never been performed.
Version 2
- On 9 December 1959 Legley completed the final version of his concerto, probably with a view to the first performance.[2]
- The concerto's first performance was played by Sonia Anschütz and the symphony orchestra of the BRT conducted by Daniel Sternefeld on 29 April 1960.[3]
