*This youth work originally bore the opus number 7, but was later partly discarded and partly reworked as [[Small suite for piano|opus 3]].<ref>On the title page of the final autograph, Legley's son Walter wrote: ''deze 'kleine pianomuziek' is opus 7, maar ook gedeeltelijk opus 3: ingebonden bij 'jeugdzonden' + 'petite suite voor piano' ''[''this 'little piano music' is opus 7, but also partly opus 3: bound in with 'youthful sins' + 'petite suite for piano''']. The bound manuscripts to which Walter Legley refers are currently missing.</ref><ref>In the catalogue of authors' society [http://www.sabam.be SABAM] we also find ''Petite suite pour piano op.8 - Kinderstukjes'', presumably this is the same work as opus 3. Cf. [[Small suite for piano]] and [[Opus 8/en|Opus 8]].</ref> The [[elegiac song]] was eventually given the opus number 7.
*The piece ''Spleen'' was first performed by Jan Decadt on 29 January 1936 in the Ypres City Theatre.<ref>This is noted by Legley in his first autograph.
