*It seems as if Legley wrote this poem for a composition competition: both the autograph score and the autograph violin part have the number ''15'' added in red pencil, and on the violin part Legley wrote: ''devise: Point n'est besoin d'esperer [sic] pour entreprendre, ni de reussir [sic] pour persévérer''. Possibly, the same sentence was originally written on the score as well: on its first page something has clearly been erased. Legley seems to have added his name and the opus number to the score at a later date.
