*Legley wrote this work after the death of his father, Pierre Legley,<ref>[[De Roeck/en|De Roeck]], p.430.</ref> in 1966.
*The first performance of the composition was played by pianists Lode Backx and Monika Druyts in concert hall Osterrieth in Antwerp on 31 January 1969.<ref>CeBeDeM - lijst werken: ''LIJST VAN DE WERKEN VAN VIC LEGLEY 22.6.1976'', p.1.</ref><ref>[[Tessely/en|Tessely]] (p.75) mentions a gala concert for Unicef with pianists Heidi Hendrickx and Levente Kende as the occasion of the first performance, this, however, cannot be correct. [[De Roeck/en|De Roeck]] (p.430) quotes an article on the performance on 31 January 1969 in which the author explicitly calls it the first performance.</ref>
