This list presumably contains the works Legley was still satisfied with in 1943 and therefore deserved an opus number.
When excluding the works of which the opus numbers are known, we have left the compositions ''Appassionato'', ''Ulixes' Voorbijvaart'' and ''De Arbeid'', and thee opus numbers 1, 4, 8 and 9. Legley did nog give an opus number to ''Ulixes' voorbijvaart'' from 1943.<ref>Waar staat dat?</ref> Possibly ''Appassionato'' is opus 1, it was performed as early as in 1936. ''De Arbeid'' is probably from a later date (Legley became a member of the orchestra of the Belgian radio in 1936, it seems unlikely that he would have composed a radio play before this date) and can be opus 4, 8 or 9.

==First opus numbering==
Two compositions areVan twee werken weten we dat ze oorspronkelijk een ander opusnummer droegen. Mogelijk heeft Legley in de jaren '40 een nieuwe nummering gemaakt en de werken waarvan hij toen niet tevreden was, weggelaten.
Hieronder wat we van de vroege nummering kennen:
