== History ==
*Legley completed this symphony on 21 October 1946 in Brussels.
*This work was heard for the first time in Flagey on 4 June 1947 during the ''Internationaal Festival voor jonge Muziek (Festival international de jeune musique)'' [International Festival for New Music], organised within the framework of the ''Wereldfestival voor Film en Schone Kunsten (Festival mondial du Film et des Beaux-Arts)'' [International Festival for Film and Fine Arts] in Brussels. The performers were Franz André and the NIR symphony orchestra.<ref>See:
