History

  • On 29 July 1950, a broadcast could be heard on the Dutch-language station of the N.I.R. in which the French composer Paul Le Flem recalled the premiere of Stravinsky's Sacre du Printemps on 29 May 1913. According to the radio programme of that day, the arrangement was made by Victor Legley.[1] We suspect that this is not an actual arrangement of Stravinsky's music, but that Legley was responsible for the cutting and probably translation of an interview with Le Flem. In any case, there is no trace of a score of a possible musical adaptation.
