History
- Legley composed this concerto in 1971. It was commissioned by Festival van Vlaanderen - Gent.
- The first performance took place in the former Royal Opera of Ghent on 6 September 1971 during the Festival van Vlaanderen. Performers were Bruno Giuranna and the Liège Royal Philharmonique conducted by Wyn Morris.[1]
